The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities sponsored an event at the soon-to-be-opened Grand Egyptian Museum to set a new Guinness Record for the largest mosaic created with paper cups of coffee. The previous record for coffee cup mosaics was set in the U.S. state of Hawaii in 2012, when 5,642 cups of coffee were used to replicate singer Elvis Presley's face. That mosaic eclipsed one set in 2009 in Sydney, Australia of the Mona Lisa, using 3,604 coffee cups.
