How to watch Seattle Sounders FC-Toronto FC MLS Cup: Live stream, TV channel, game time - USA TODAY

The 2019 MLS Cup — which determines the champion for Major League Soccer — will be played between the Western Conference champion Seattle Sounders FC and Eastern Conference champion Toronto FC on Sunday, Nov. 10.

This is the third time in four years that Seattle and Toronto have met in MLS Cup, with Seattle winning 2016 MLS Cup and Toronto winning the 2017 MLS Cup. The Seattle Sounders own the MLS record for most consecutive seasons of making the playoffs, reaching the postseason in each of the franchise's 11 years of existence.

The team that finishes the regular season with the better record gets to host the MLS championship game.

TIME, TV, STREAMING INFO: 3 p.m. ET, ABC. Streaming online on Watch ESPN. Available in Spanish on TUDN and Univision. Available in Canada on TSN (French broadcast on TVA Sports).

LOCATION: CenturyLink Field, Seattle

Home-field advantage

The Sounders have been a playoff participant in each of their 11 seasons in the league, but this will be the first time Seattle's CenturyLink Field will host the home team in the Major League Soccer championship game.

(CenturyLink Field -- as a neutral site -- hosted MLS Cup 2009, which won by Real Salt Lake over the Los Angeles Galaxy.)

More than 69,000 fans are expected to be in attendance as tickets for MLS Cup sold out in a matter of minutes. Prices on the secondary market are rivaling those normally associated with championship games in bigger sports leagues.

Seattle is one of the most prominent soccer hotbeds in North America, so expect a raucous crowd Sunday.

Jozy Altidore doubtful to play

Toronto FC has made its remarkable MLS playoff run without the services of striker, and U.S. men's national soccer team star, Jozy Altidore. Altidore is recovering from a quad strain that kept him out of Toronto's three previous playoff wins. Altidore hasn't played since walking gingerly off the field in Toronto FC's season finale against the Columbus Crew on Oct. 6.

In Altidore's absence, TFC coach Greg Vanney has moved Spanish playmaker Alejandro Pozuelo forward, flanked by Nicolas Benezet and Tsubasa Endoh.

MLS Cup is a rubber match

This is the third time in four years that the Seattle Sounders and Toronto FC have met in MLS Cup. This year's championship game will serve as the tiebreaker between the two, as Seattle won MLS Cup 2016 and Toronto won MLS Cup 2017. The previous two MLS Cup meetings between these teams were held at Toronto's home stadium, BMO Field.

This is the second time in MLS Cup history that teams will meet for a third time. The Los Angeles Galaxy and New England Revolution met three times (2002, 2005 and 2014) in MLS Cup, with the Galaxy winning all three of those showdowns.
